Solid-state memory devices play a large part in our everyday lives, being used for anything from digital pictures to corporate presentations.
They make data storage extremely expedient, and can be a substantial and convenient way of storing large amounts of data. Whereas this type of data storage has it’s good points, it is still liable to failure and human error. There are sometimes issues with the media itself, but there are also times when files themselves are accidentally deleted, or the drives accidentally formatted, resulting in the loss of data contained on them. As long as the data has not been overwritten, Intratec can recover data from most of these situations.
We do not charge an evaluation fee, and there is no charge if your data is not recoverable, so feel free to contact us today on 083 415 5154 for more information about our flash drive and usb drive data recovery services.

Most of us at some time or another have either accidentally lost an important file or had one damaged in some way that prevents us from opening it. Twenty years ago, unless you were a computer expert, that would have been catastrophic. But things have changed. If you really know what you’re doing, it is sometimes possible to recover this type of data loss yourself. However, that is not the situation with the majority of people. You can, however, make the job easier for the data recovery experts.
How do you do that? By making sure that you make regular backups of your data files, either on a daily basis for the files you have been working on, or on a weekly basis, or better still by sticking to a backup strategy. If you do make regular backups it may be possible for you to recover the lost data yourself without even calling in the data recovery experts such as ourselves.

Each data recovery, file recovery, undelete, raid recovery, disk recovery or disaster recovery case begins with a free evaluation to determine the potential for recovery and to provide a firm price-quote for your review. Initial diagnosis determines whether the media is accessible to our lab equipment. If so, the first priority is to create a raw image of the data so that logical analysis can determine the nature of the data loss situation. If the media is inaccessible our lab will test the components and closely examine its internal health to determine the extent of physical damage.
Recovery of crashed hard disks often involves replacing failed or damaged components in a clean environment and using specialized hardware and software tools to create the raw image. Failed components typically include electronics, read/write heads, head assemblies, magnets & drive motors.

If you know a little bit about computers, and you have the correct software, it is sometimes possible to recover deleted or corrupt files yourself. But most computer users, although being familiar with the software on their pc, are loath to start messing about with coded files, and rightly so. There are professional companies who specialise in the recovery of lost data, and because of their very nature, they are the best people to do the job. Intratec is a company that carries out file recovery every day. They have the experts to do the job for you. Whatever the type of data loss you have suffered – even if you’ve somehow managed to spill a coke over your laptop – they are the people to call.

If you’ve lost some data or accidentally deleted a file you’ve been working on you may have reason to think that it’s the end of the world, but hang on – it isn’t. The age of the Internet has only been with us for a very short time, but technology that has anything to do with computers has been the world’s fastest growing industry over the last twenty years or so. In some cases, if you happen to know your way around computers, it may even be possible for you to fix the problem yourself, but in most cases you’re going to have to call in the data recovery experts to do the job for you. Either way, the job is going to be much easier if you are one of those people who makes regular backups of your work.
If you need to call in file recovery experts, there’s one company that stands out above all the others, and that is Intratec. Intratec was started in Cape Town in the year 2000 by the de Jager brothers, and business has been such that they have now opened another two branches, one in Johannesburg and the other in Durban. They have the hi tech equipment, the latest software and the know-how to be able to tackle every possible type of data loss. Data loss can occur from a variety of different reasons. It could be caused by a fluctuation of voltage (we don’t have the most efficient power supply in the world), by a virus or other malware attack or even a straight hardware failure. Either way you should call in Intratec, the file recovery experts.

Many organizations, from schools and colleges to retailing giants rely on databases. Occasionally one of these organizations finds itself in the unenviable position of having a computer crash out on them. It happens, and will continue to happen until the human race has mastered the future art of quantum data storage – but that may be decades or even centuries into the future. In the meantime, unless the organization has its own data recovery expert, it means calling in the most handy file recovery company. Intratec is one such file recovery company. It started off in Cape Town in 2000 and now also has branches in Johannesburg and Durban.
Intratec is equipped with the very latest hi-tech tools and software specially designed for a file recovery company. They have a team of technicians at each of their three branches that are specially trained in data recovery. This file recovery company always maintains the very highest levels of customer service, a commitment that is shared by every one of its staff. When an organization contacts us to enquire about data recovery, we know that that particular customer is probably having a bad day – they wouldn’t be contacting us if it were a good one. Our staff are each committed into doing their level best to ensure that your data is recovered in the shortest possible time. At the same time, knowing that your data may be of a very sensitive nature, you are assured of our integrity at all times. For more information call us at 086 727 7269

Lost some data? Deleted a word document by accident? Hard drive crashed out on you? Don’t despair, there are file recovery specialists out there to assist you. Data recovery has been a branch of Information Technology that, until a few years ago, just didn’t exist. It was a void that needed to be filled, and fortunately there are now file recovery specialists in most major cities. Intratec was started up in South Africa in the year 2000 to fill such a void, and the company now has branches in Cape Town, Johannesburg and Durban.
Obviously the first thing you are going to do if one of the above happens is to try to correct the situation yourself, and in some cases this is possible. There is software available that enables you to look for and undelete files and data. Many people are quite capable of using it, but at the same time many are not. If you are uncertain of your abilities then the best thing to do is to call file recovery specialists such as Intratec. There are many reasons why data can be lost. Apart from the accidental deletion of a file by yourself (we’ve all done it at one time or another) the most common cause is a fluctuation in the power supply, or a complete cut in Power. Eskom’s power outages at the beginning of 2008 caused more grief because of lost data than they can ever afford to reimburse. File Recovery Specialists can be contacted at 086 727 7269

Intratec Data Solutions now has three branches, the third having opened this year in Durban. Data recovery is no longer limited to the Mother City and Johannesburg. Data can be lost for a number of reasons, the most embarrassing of which is an accidental file deletion or disk re-formatting. Fortunately because we always keep completely up-to-date with our state-of-the-art equipment and recovery software, we are always one step ahead of the situation before it arises. In fact the Durban data recovery office will now offer you a guarantee.
- Diagnosis
- Quote
- Quote Rejection
Intratec will diagnose the media, assess its state and evaluate its recoverability. What we aim to do is to provide a 24-hour turn-around time for your data recovery quote, which will include:
- Estimated time-frame
- Estimated chance of recovery in percentage
- Whether spares are needed
With this information you can then make an informed decision as to whether to continue or not. After receiving signed approval, the recovery process can begin. Data recovery in Durban has never been as good as this – we are committed to supplying the bestrecovery service in South Africa. We do this by maintaining the highest standards of technical aptitude in the field, and we treat each of our clients and the information that they inevitably entrust to us with the utmost integrity and diligence. We are also firmly committed to the growth and development of both company and employees and have a methodical BEE approach.

Most people are very nervous about messing around with source code, machine code and anything that is written directly onto a hard drive. It is possible though for you to carry out file recovery yourself, if you know what you are doing. There id software on the market that you can use to carry out simple data repairs, again, if you know what you are doing. If you are uncertain or nervous about playing about with coded files – leave it to the experts. File recovery is what they are trained in and what they do every day. Intratec was started up in 2000 specifically as a data recovery company. We are very aware that the loss of data can cripple a business. Many companies rely 100% on their databases and would find it impossible to operate without them.
The simplest way to avoid data loss is to take early preventative measures. Larger companies use specialist operating systems where any data written to disc is written at least twice, so that file recovery becomes a simple job. Smaller companies are usually the hardest hit when they lose data. It is usually the smaller companies or individuals who have a carefree attitude towards backing up their data, something that should be an extremely important task that is done daily, weekly and monthly. File recovery becomes much simpler when there are backups to turn to. If you have any enquiries about how to go about backing up your data, we will be happy to advise you.
